Hi, I’m Katie!
I’m a multidisciplinary Art Director and Graphic Designer based in Toronto, Canada. Originally from Costa Rica, every winter for the past 15 years I try to remember why I decided to pick Canada as my new home.
My experiences include working at a small and a medium sized ad agencies, a corporate environment, and as a freelancer. I’ve created work in both print media (banners, posters, flyers, magazine ads, packaging, etc.) and digital media (web banners, newsletters, social media posts, etc.). I’ve been lucky to work with great brands such as Bell Media, Canadian Tire, Advil, Canadian Cancer Society, Harbourfront Centre, and others.
I’m driven by my thirst for knowledge, boundless curiosity, vivid imagination and desire to grow personally and professionally.
My main career goal is to be part of a long-term diverse and collaborative team where we work on delivering beautiful and effective messages that make people think and/or feel through brand storytelling.
When I’m not working, you can find me drawing on my iPad, finding the best eats in the city, or planning my next travel adventure somewhere with old castles.
